INFO: The Offering is the fifth studio album by rapper Killah Priest. It was released on August 21, 2007 through Good Hands Records, which is distributed through Traffic. Some songs reported to be featured on the album were released in advance, including the album's title track "The Offering", featuring Hell Razah. The album also features guest appearances by Nas, Immortal Technique, Ras Kass, Canibus and Kurupt.

Production was done by 4th Disciple, Kount Fif, Sam Sneed, Shakim Allah, Godz Wrath, Chuckie Madness, Arythmetic and others. Allhiphop.com says: "For the most part, the production on the album, from the likes of 4th Disciple and Godz Wrath, complements Priest’s flow and lyrics very well."

As previous albums, The Offering is heavy on lyrical content dealing with spirituality, freedom of the mind and religion. On the track Salvation, Killah Priest talks about a spiritual battle with temptation.

Hiphopdx.com gave the album a favorable rating, while the written review was highly critical to Priest's style and execution of his lyrics. Overall ending with: "Overall, The Offering is a solid album. Making a collection of 17 tracks which are listenable as a whole isn’t easy, and Killah Priest more or less manages to pull it off.

INFO: Killah Priest first made his presence known on Gza's Liquid Swords album with the song "B.I.B.L.E.". Quickly after the release of Liquid Swords Killah Priest found himself signed to Geffen Records. His first album Heavy Mental would become an instant classic and would sell close to 400k units. In 2010 Killah Priest is back with a lot to prove to a younger audience and a die hard fan base who has never left. 3 Day Theory finds Priest at his lyrical best, crafting a dark tale on "Psalm of Satan" from the point of view of Lucifer to the conspiracy driven warning on "Shadows". "Outer Body Experience" echoes back to Priest's Heavy Mental days and "Priest History" unfolds the story of how Priest got involved with the Wu Tang Clan. Then there are the harder, more violent verses on "The Destroyer", "Fire Reign" and "Birds" that show anger and desire still burning strong inside one of the worlds greatest MC's. The 3 Day Theory is Killah Priest's strongest most thoroughly consistent work to date and matched with some of the best production Killah Priest has ever worked with. In 2010 Killah Priest let the world know he was back to reclaim his throne and take his rightful place on the world stage of Hip Hop

INFO: Killah Priest might be the most underrated rhyme artist on the planet, sure he does get his props, but this man is a true poet and he's extremely knowledgeable and knows how to put it across in a rhyme without coming off as preachy. As long his beat selection is thorough there's not many that can fuck with Priest, and last year 2xCD "The Psychic World of Walter Reed" was more than proof of that (for the record, I forgot about that album when I wrote my best album of 2013 countdown, but that should definitely have been in the top 5). For those of y'all who enjoyed that album he recently dropped a little EP called "The Lost Tracks of PWOWR" featuring songs that didn't make the final cut - I'm not really sure in what form he put it out though so I'm not gonna post it, but it's out there.

For "Torah Scrolls: The Mixtape" Priest hooks up with executive producer and rapper M-Eighty to release a collection of classic KP, guest features and some previously unreleased cuts. This is a good reminder to both new fans and hardcore devotees of the Sunz Of Man / Wu-Tang Killa Bee of where he came from and where he's going. Enjoy!

INFO: Priesthood is the third studio album by Wu-Tang Clan affiliate and Sunz of Man rapper Killah Priest. He had previously cut ties with the Wu-Tang Clan after problems with its leader RZA, and this album receives no input from them. Priesthood is also Killah Priest's first independent release as his last album, View from Masada sold poorly and he was dropped from his label. As a result, the album received very limited distribution and low sales, though it was well received by critics.

INFO: Wu-Tang Clan affiliate and Sunz Of Man member Killah Priest is one of the most prolific artists in Hip Hop. Artists like Kool Keith, Tech N9Ne, and K-Rino may have more releases on their names, but it's not easy to keep up with Killah Priests release schedule either, taking into account all his solo-projects, group and collaboration efforts, and his endless list of feature appearances.

Heavy Mental (1998), Elizabeth (2009), The Psychic World of Walter Reed (2013), and Planet Of The Gods (2015) are the standouts in Killah Priest's catalog, and Rocket To Nebula rivals these titles in terms of quality - even if it's even more of an acquired taste than most of his other releases.

On Rocket To Nebula we get the same kind of stream-of-consciousness type lyricism we know from Killah Priest, filled with his characteristic metaphysical musings and slick subliminals. Musically, this album differs from his best works though - there are no bass-heavy beats to be found here, in fact the whole album is practically drumless. The instrumentals on On Rocket To Nebula are very low-key, offering dream-like backdrops to Killah Priest lyrics, which makes listening to this album something akin to a meditative experience.

This may not be an easy album to get into, and it certainly demands real attention - but if you're willing to take an hour and 15 minutes to tune out everything else going on around you Rocket To Nebula will be sure to satisfy.

REUP:  Killah Priest and 4th Disciple are a couple of Wu-Tang Clan affiliates who have always put the quality of the brand over any type of notoriety. Both sharply skilled artists instantly attracted fans for closing out GZA’s classic Liquid Swords in style on the song “B.I.B.L.E. (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth).”

Shortly after, Killah Priest went on to drop Wu-adjacent projects and join the “original Slaughterhouse” b.k.a. the HRSMN supergroup alongside Kurupt, Ras Kass and Canibus, and 4th Disciple would spend a chunk of the 90s getting confused for RZA for the groundwork he laid for various members of the Clan. (Not like that’s a bad thing.)

For the tail end of 2017, the two have joined forces for the duo album, Don’t Sit On the Speakers (Vol. 1).
